We would love to hear from you if you are interested in becoming a supporter of the third Bude For Food Festival 2016. The Festival offers varying levels of sponsorship opportunities aimed to suit the requirements of your business. For further information please contact Ali on email@example.com
The Bude For Food Festival is a community event run on a profit for purpose basis. We are especially grateful to all our supporters and volunteers without which the festival would not have been possible.
Our 2015 Supporters
We had some great feedback from our chefs, exhibitors and our visitors over the last two years, everyone loved the festival and commented on the “great show” and 2016 is set to be even better!
Great shows don’t come for free though and we are very grateful to all the local businesses large and small who get behind the festival and help us out with the logistics…
Bude for Food is a not-for-profit organisation and the festival is arranged and delivered by a group of volunteers who give their time freely and claim no expenses. Any profits made by the festival are used to provide beneficial activities and projects to the community or are invested in the development of the annual festival.
So a huge shout out to the following brilliant businesses and fantastic friends for choosing to support Bude for Food – we couldn’t deliver this fantastic community event without you.
Welcome back to our Headline Sponsor – Trewithen Dairy for the second year running…
Bill and Rachel Clarke bring more than the 25 years they’ve been at Greymare Farm near Lostwithiel, they also bring the experience that comes from families who’ve been dairy farmers for generations. Trewithen Dairy: a potted history. It’s taken all their expertise and experience – and plenty of patience – to build the business to its current position. In the early days, they had their own herds and they’d bottle the milk once the children were in bed and deliver it early next morning, before they woke. They’d cook the clotted cream themselves, in open trays, pot it by hand and then, encouraged by a local shopkeeper, they began selling their delicious products under the Trewithen label. Plentiful customers rolled up and soon after they started in 1994, the Clarkes were adding restaurants, hotels, garages and more shops to the ranks of satisfied customers. Recent years have seen sons Francis and George join the business which now has more than 100 highly-valued employees, and is Cornwall and Devon’s biggest bottler of the precious white stuff. Visit their website for more information.

This year, our picnic area will be bigger and more accessible.. just like its generous sponsor – Cornish Orchards
Our business is all about respect and balance. We create our award winning, premium ciders and juices, using traditional craft practices, produced to modern, exacting standards. Each autumn, the apples arrive, full of flavours, sweetness and juice. It’s our job to ensure all this goodness is captured, fermented and blended into our delicious range of ciders and juices. Working with the freshest produce every season has to offer, our drinks are always bursting with flavour. We press, ferment, blend and bottle right here in the heart of Cornwall, a county nationally renowned for the finest food and drink. We are proud to be a sponsor of this year’s Bude for Food and are looking forward to a really fantastic festival. Supporting high quality, local Cornish food & drink events is a passion of ours and we look forward to seeing you there.
We can’t help but notice that Bude people are really excited about the festival; and that excitement is spreading far and wide… for those who aren’t lucky enough to call Bude home our “Where to stay” page on our website is an invaluable resource and generously sponsored by Wooda Farm Park.
Wooda Farm Holiday Park
Once a working farm, Wooda has been in the Colwill family for nearly 100 years, and the holiday park is celebrating 40 years of opening this year. Run now by Graeme and Kerry Colwill and family, they strive to create an enjoyable holiday experience to be had by everyone, creating long lasting memories of quality time spent together. There are extensive facilities on-site, including The Courtyard Bar & Grill and Lodge Takeaway run by Graeme’s sister Helen and her husband Gary. Visitors can enjoy the woodland for walking, cycling, nature spotting, participate in rural activities and have use of the sports facilities, whilst children love the farmyard animals, open space and extensive play areas. Stunning views of Bude Bay and coastline are enjoyed from the holiday homes and touring pitches. Wooda is proud to support the local community through sponsorship of local events like Bude for Food. We employ locally and consistently use local companies to source products and produce for use on the holiday park. The Good Mud Growing Project is based near Widemouth Bay, Bude in Cornwall and offers an outdoor space to:
GROW – veg, fruit and plants as naturally and sustainably as possible. We aim for a variety of produce of a high quality, not forgetting our love of odd shapes and sizes. The benefits of the outdoors and nature are immense for our wellbeing.
LEARN – as much as we can in the most fun way! We’re trying to educate ourselves and others. The beauty of growing is that there are so many ways of doing it so we’re keen to have everyone’s input. We want to encourage anyone and everyone, especially our children, to get outdoors and grow a bit at home to have their own free food.
EAT – fresh, healthy and tasty food. Shared lunches, cooked by our community chef, Fran, the children or ourselves, are a very common theme!
We focus on natural, sustainable growing methods to create an outstanding biodiverse environment to visit and work in.
It’s about the food so look out for one of our chef demonstrations. Our volunteers take a share of the harvest and we supply surplus food to community groups such as Bude Food Bank as a way of spreading the love of fresh produce.
